Panasonic released their Panafax UF-585 fax machine in May 1999. The Panafax UF-595, with its faster transmission speed and higher MFP print resolution followed in June 1999. Pitney Bowes® included a zoom/reduction feature in their PB1530, released in December 1999. All three machines use the same Matsushita engine and have optional printer (PC) interfaces.The 585 and 595 both use the same cartridge (UG3350), however, the Panafax cartridges are not interchangeable with the Pitney Bowes' because of drive gear angle differences.
